What We Believe

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible.  (Genesis 1; Rev 4:11)

And in one lord, Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all things were made; God of God, Light of Light, True God of True God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made.  (Genesis 1; Matt 8:29, 16:16; Mark 22:39; John 5, 14)

Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was made man as a result of the Holy Spirit overshadowing the virgin, named Mary.
 (Acts 4:8-12; Is 7:14; Matt 1:18, 20, 23; Luke 1:26-38)

We believe that because of Jesus’ suffering through the scourging at the pillar, that by his stripes (the rips and cuts and tears made by His flesh being whipped) we were and are healed.  (1 Peter 2:24)

Jesus was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered, died and was buried.  The suffering and death was endured by Jesus to pay the price in full for every sin that every person committed or will commit.  (Matt 27:11-66; John 19:30)

As a result, Jesus destroyed the  legal right of the Evil One (Satan) had on the life of every man, woman and child.  Jesus took our sins (yours and ours) upon Himself, once for all, and delivered all of us from the punishment that we as sinners deserve.  (John 19:16-30; Matt 27:33-50; Mark 15:22-37; Luke 23:33-49;
Rev 1:5)

We believe in eternal life after death and that mankind is now free to choose eternal life after death with Jesus in heaven or eternal life after death with Satan and his fallen angels.  (Rev 20:7-15, 21:8)

On the third day Jesus rose again, according to the scriptures; and He ascended into heaven where He is now in the presence of the Father.  He shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead and of His kingdom there shall be no end.  (Matt 24:29-30, 25:31-46, 28:1-20; Mark 116:19; Acts 5:30-31;
Rev 20:11-15)

We also believe in the Holy Spirit, Who proceeds from th Father and the Son; Who together with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified.  He spoke through the prophets of old and He continues to do so today.  (Matt 28:19; Acts 1:4-8)

We believe that all believers should be baptized.  (Mark 16:16)

We believe that all gifts of the Holy Spirit are operational today.  (John 14:15-17)

We look forward to the second coming of Christ.
